The Southern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists is pleased to announce the Southern Union RISE Pastors’ Conference, scheduled to take place in Orlando, FL from September 29 - October 2, 2024. This event, held every five years, brings together pastors from across the Southern Union for a time of spiritual renewal, professional development, and fellowship. 

The event will feature several notable speakers, including many keynote speakers — Alduan Tartt, Ryan Burge, Steven Argue, Ty Gibson, Heather Thompson Day,  Elizabeth Talbot, and Willie and Elaine Oliver. 

Attendees will be able to participate in seminars that cover a wide range of topics, such as evangelism, self-care, and ministry challenges. Programs for younger children and high school-aged children will also be provided. 

“The prayer of the ministerial team is that on the day we finish RISE Pastors’ Conference, the pastors and their families will say three things: That was refreshing. That was real. That made me think,” said Roger Hernandez, Southern Union ministerial and evangelism director. “Incredible work has gone into the details of this experience, and we pray that value be added to every participant.” 

The Southern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists serves as the headquarters for eight conferences in eight states that comprise the Southeastern segment of the United States. As part of the global Seventh-day Adventist Church, with nearly 23 million members, the Southern Union supports the conferences, educational and healthcare systems, and three universities within its geographical territory.  

Further, Seventh-day Adventists are Christians who strive to foster quality in their world community. Seventh-day Adventists embrace and teach principles surrounding virtuous living as expressed through the Bible.
