Learn about grant opportunities, eligibility requirements, deadlines, and tips for grantwriting success. South Arts: Refined Focus, New Funding Opportunities
South Arts has a new strategic plan and mission statement – advancing Southern vitality through the arts. With this focus, we have refined our programs and strategies. This includes revised guidelines to many of our grantmaking programs, and new offerings emphasizing recipient organizations’ support of Southern artists as well as our own direct support for artists from our region. Central Withholding Agreement (CWA) IRS Rule Changes Affecting Foreign Entertainers Working in the US
July 1, 2018, the IRS announced a very significant application procedural change due to lack of funding for operations. Take home pay will be directly affected for international artists. Come meet with Frank Page, CPA, of CWA Management who will answer 100% of the questions you ask about the brand new IRS CWA rule changes and how they affect the tax obligations for all involved. Takeaways include: Debunking the myths behind W-8 forms; Understanding the importance of SSNs/ITINs; and the dangers of tax- noncompliance. Women of Color in the Arts (WOCA): Leveraging Leadership and Creating Equity in the Field
Women of Color in the Arts is dedicated to creating racial and cultural equity in the performing arts field by providing a platform to give voice and visibility to women of color. By working to fortify leadership, WOCA aims to reinforce a world where everyone has a seat at the table. This session is open to all current and prospective WOCA members, as well as authentic allies to learn more about membership, WOCA's current initiatives, and how to lend support to this dynamic movement of women. |
