The Society of American Military Engineers is the only nonprofit professional engineering education organization that actively promotes the advancement of both individual technical knowledge and the collective engineering capabilities of governments, the uniformed services and private industry.

Our goal is to unite public and private sector entities and individuals in the A/E/C fields so that we can prepare for and overcome natural and man made disasters, acts of terrorism and improve security at home and abroad.

The Omaha Post was formed in 1940, under the leadership of Lt. Col. W.M. Hoge, and consisted of 28 members. Since then, the Omaha Post has grown to over 500 members strong! The GKC Post is committed to developing and enhancing relationships and competencies among uniformed services, public and private sector architects, engineers, constructors [A/E/C Industry], related professionals and the academic community. The Omaha Post is in need of volunteers for the 2027 and 2028 events.

• Co-Chair (1): Lead and coordinate the overall planning committee.
• Registration Sub-Committee (2): Manage online and on-site registration.
• Program Sub-Committee (2): Organize and manage the event program/speakers.
• Sponsorship Sub-Committee (1): Prepare reports and assist with soliciting sponsorship sales.
• Volunteers Leader (1): Coordinate and manage volunteers for the conference and golf outing.
