NYSSBA 2021
Annual Convention and Education Expo
Call for Exhibitor Presentations

OVERVIEW

The New York State School Boards Association is pleased to announce its formal Call for Presentations for NYSSBA 2021, which will be held in person at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York City Oct. 24-26, 2021. We are excited to offer exhibitor speaking opportunities to be part of our official convention program. As noted below, the deadline for submission of presentation proposals is Friday, April 30, 2021.

The 2021 event theme is Coming of Age. We chose this theme to reflect the change, growth and evolution in board of educations, administrators, educators and students in the times in which we live. This is your opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise with school board members and education leaders across New York State.

NYSSBA seeks proposals that reflect sound adult learning principles in conference presentation and the best thinking, informed by theory, research and practice. Adult learning theory suggests that the best learning environments are the ones that are collaborative and utilize a problem-based approach. To deliver exceptional learning experiences, preference will be given to proposals that answer the following content questions and address the target audience.

CONTENT QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER

  • How do I create moments of reflection?
