1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Session 1: Valet Parking & Operations
Perhaps the oldest form of parking operations is Valet Parking. As the desire for convenience has increased, the use of valets has expanded from understandable locations such as restaurants and hotels to lesser known places such as hospitals and universities. Valet parking brings with it a variety of additional responsibilities because of the heightened expectations and inherent trust bestowed upon the valet. Service and performance are both judged differently and the threshold necessary to claim success can increase.

Join our experts for this CPP Summit review as they explore:

• Typical valet management structures
• Operating Procedures
• Personnel management
• Equipment and supplies
• Customer complaints, claims management and dispute resolution
• Other key elements of valet parking
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM Session 2: Process & Procedure: The Art of Human Resources
Human resources is a critical component dedicated to providing effective policies, procedures, and people-friendly guidelines that support the organization and its employees. The HR department has responsibility for employee well-being, payroll, benefits, hiring and firing, and serves to make sure that the company mission, vision, values or guiding principles are followed. As a Certified Parking Professional you may also be called upon to make decisions that may fall in the HR department or for other internal or external clients. As such it is necessary for a CPP to understand how to train and deploy talent so that you meet and exceed both internal and external expectations.

Join our experts for this CPP Summit review discussion as they study the responsibilities of the Certified Parking Professional.

Attendees will learn:
• How a manager’s behavior and performance can affect other employees
• How to onboard and off board employees

Whether it operates in supporting role or as the primary business sought out by consumers, parking is critical to the success of many industries. As a Certified Parking Professional, you and your staff play a critical role in conveying professionalism and pride as the “front door” of any business or service. In many cases patrons do not separate parking from the business which they are patronizing therefore, a negative parking experience can adversely affect a customer’s perception of that business.
