This one-day retreat was designed to help you revive your long-lasting positive health and give you better practice outcomes. This immersive experience will start with a 45-minute yoga session to address the specific musculoskeletal needs inherent to practicing dentistry, destress through breathing and movement and improve your physical condition.
Next, join Dr. Nicholas Studhome, Doctor of Chiropractic and Get Comfortable as you learn tips and specific stretches to minimize the damage done by the dental chair, to maximize efficiency, to reduce the occurrence and severity of musculoskeletal disorders and to practice pain-free.
Science has shown that mindfulness-based stress reduction reduces health care costs and improves productivity and happiness. In Everyday Mindfulness: From Chaos to Calm In A Crazy World learn seven simple applied practices from Ms. Holly Duckworth that you can do just about anywhere to get through even your most challenging days.
Wrap up the day with a 2-hour clinical CE course led by periodontist Dr. Brian Gurinsky designed to ensure your socket bone grafts will not result in failure and unnecessary repeated patient visits. Review the steps and principles that will lead to successful socket fills in preparation for dental implant placement. Participants will access material selection and their differences, including bone, membranes, sutures and more.
Dr. Brian Gurinsky has a private periodontal practice in Denver, CO. He is the past president of the Rocky Mountain Society of Periodontists and the Metro Denver Dental Society. He has lectured nationwide for the Perio Institute and is also currently teaching at Denver Health.
Ms. Holly Duckworth, CAE, CMP, LSP is a keynote speaker and applied mindful leadership advisor. As a contributor to the New York Times, Producer/Host of the Everyday Mindfulness Show, and columnist to countless industry publications she works with stressed-out leaders to create, peace, presence and profits.
Dr. Nicholas Studholme is a Colorado native and skilled in treating chronic pain, sports-related injuries, and analyzing and improving running form and technique. He graduated Cum Laude from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon and has been in practice in the Denver/Boulder area since 2000. In addition to private practice Dr. Studholme is an instructor for Functional Neuro Orthopedic Rehab and Dynamic Tape, and consults with many professional athletes in the NHL, EPL and MLS.
