Abstract Submission / Call for Presentations

Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in submitting a presentation for consideration at the FBINAA National Annual Training Conference, August 2-5, 2025 in Baltimore, Maryland.

FBINAA members and non-member speakers with valuable law enforcement training sessions are encouraged to submit proposals to present sessions at the 2025 FBINAA Conference. The deadline for the Conference to receive proposals is November 4, 2024, at 5:00 pm Eastern Time.

FBI National Academy Graduates wishing to be considered to present at the annual conference must be a current FBINAA member in good standing.

 

Have the following information ready to submit online with your proposal, as these must be submitted to complete the proposal:

 

  • Biography of all speakers in the session (each biography up to 150 words/1,000 characters in paragraph form - no bullet points)
  • Headshot of all speakers in the session (high resolution image file - i.e. 300 dpi jpeg or other image)
  • Session title (not subject to change after selection and acceptance)
  • Brief session description to clearly define the session content and educational value to the audience (up to 150 words/1,000 characters in paragraph form - no bullet points)
  • Three (3) learning objectives with which the Conference can best evaluate the proposal
  • Links to videos of past speaking engagements (this may help increase chances of selection)
  • Links to speaker resume(s) may also be uploaded (optional)

Based on the education and training needs of the membership, topics of interest include, but not limited to:

 

  • Case Studies – Pre-Event and Post-Event Lessons from Recent Law Enforcement Incident(s)
  • Ethical Consideration for Intervention (e.g. ABLE, DTI, other)
  • Leadership Development (e.g. Motivation, Executive Advancement)
  • Community Trends (e.g. Community Policing, Extreme/Radical Groups, Homegrown Race-Based Violence, Civil Unrest and Protests)
  • Emerging Technologies (e.g. RTCC, Crime Analysis, Body-Worn Cameras, Drones, Other Camera/Video Systems, Communications, Forensics, Advanced Intelligence, Tactical Gear)
  • Officer Safety and Wellness/Resilience (e.g. Peer Support Services, Health and Fitness, Mental Health)
  • Personnel Matters (e.g. Recruiting, Discipline, Training Programs, Performance Evaluation)
  • Media Relations and Communication (e.g. Crisis Communications, Community Relations/Outreach, Press Conference Performance)
  • Internal Policy Issues (e.g. Budgets, Funding, Political Impacts, Management Directives)
  • Retired FBINAA Member Education (e.g. Fitness, Finance, Travel, Community Engagement)
