Presidents Colloquium: Strategic Finance -- Setting Culture, Finding and Allocating Resources, and Aligning Assets to Mission
How can I fully fund needed student success strategies at scale when my college faces budget constraints that seem unlikely to lessen in the coming years?” This interactive session will lead presidents through an exploration of this question, focusing on finance as a driver of institutional culture and the art of disciplined resourcing. Key topics covered will include the identification of stranded assets, personnel as a financial strategy, and some “do-s and don’t-s” of revenue generation. The session will also touch on key considerations for financial transparency, the relationship between the CEO and CFO, and alignment of the budgeting process with student success goals. Throughout the session, presidents will engage in large and small group conversations and independently plan for actionable next steps. The session will conclude with a short discussion of how partnership with other institutions and organizations can be used as a key financial strategy.

For campus presidents and chancellors only.
