2022 ATD Teaching and Learning Institute
Being an Equity-Minded Educator

Register today for the 2022 ATD Teaching and Learning Institute being held April 20-22, 2022.

It takes courage to acknowledge ways we perpetuate inequities in our courses, practices, and policies, which is why the Teaching and Learning Institute offers opportunities for connection, facilitated conversations, and deep dives into strategies that will enhance teaching practices, foster professional learning among colleagues and teams, and contribute to campus-wide change.

During this two-day virtual institute, you will have the opportunity to:

  • articulate and be empowered to address inequities in instruction and the student learning experience.

  • design high-impact professional learning strategies to implement equitable instructional models that support successful learning experiences and outcomes.

  • collaborate with institutional teams and/or colleagues to develop action plans for (a) integrating equity-minded approaches into classroom practice, and (b) designing high-impact professional learning programs to support scaling of these approaches.

Learning Objectives:
At the end of the institute, participants will be able to:

  • articulate and be empowered to address inequities in instruction and the student learning experiences and instruction.

  • plan for equity-minded professional learning to support educators across campus, including full-time faculty, adjunct faculty, and academic affairs professionals.

  • initiate a process of implementing instruction designed to unleash the power and potential of inclusive, culturally responsive, and anti-racist practices that address equity gaps.

Who should attend?
Network colleges, non-network colleges, faculty, instructional designers, faculty developers, academic affairs administrators. Colleges may send individuals or teams. Our action planning template will be designed with the needs of both audiences (individuals and teams) in mind.
