ATIA 2023 Call for Presentations 

Accepting Presentations May 2 – June 13, 2022 

Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal for ATIA 2023. At ATIA 2023, speakers will share new insights, the latest research, and innovative approaches over five days at the gathering of the assistive technology community. ATIA 2023 is planned around Session Strands and Conference Themes, exploring the newest technologies and the most important questions and issues in the AT field today. Our Strand Advisors and Partners are international content leaders and are representatives from strategic professional organizations.
Note: The 2023 event will have one (1) call for presentations. All sessions will be presented live in Orlando. The virtual offerings will be live sessions that are also either live-streamed or recorded during the in-person event.

Please submit your best, well-written abstracts for consideration for ATIA 2023. All submissions will be considered during the Strand Advisor Blind Peer Review Process. 


  • Conference Themes – ATIA will be highlighting sessions on the agenda focusing on Maker and Social Inclusion. 

  • Maker - The Maker community is focused on using their skills to create and make solutions for, and in collaboration with, people with disabilities. 

  • Social Inclusion is connected to global initiatives highlighting the importance of Social Inclusion for people with disabilities and the critical role that assistive and mainstream technologies play in enabling inclusion. 

  • Please review the Presentation Types before submitting. They have changed from prior years. If any speaker is from an ATIA member and/or ATIA 2023 exhibiting company, you must select a Member/Exhibitor session type for allotment tracking and CEU purposes. 

Review your submission for spelling and errors. Descriptions should be well-written and grammatically correct. Upon acceptance, this submission will be used for online and printed conference materials. ATIA reserves the right to edit for consistency, length, format and grammar as necessary. We recommend you draft your submission in the Call for Presentations Word Document, and then copy and paste into the online submission form. Please note: if you plan to add co-speakers to your submission, you will need to provide their Name, Email, Phone, Mailing Address, Company, Title, Bio, and Disclosures.
