Alden J. Bianchi, Esq.

Bianchi is a member of the law firm Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky, and Popeo PC, and serves as chair of the firm’s employee benefits and executive compensation practice. He advises corporate, not-for-profit, government, and individual clients on a broad range of executive compensation and employee benefits issues. Bianchi advised the administration of Gov. Mitt Romney in connection with the 2006 Massachusetts health care reform law, and he has testified on the topic of health care reform before the U.S. Senate finance committee.

Nicole Bieker, CSP

Bieker is vice president of operations for Milliner & Associates LLC, headquartered in Indianapolis, IN. Prior to working at Milliner and Associates, Bieker was both branch and recruiting manager for Elwood Staffing Services, where she specialized in business development, customer service, operations, and leadership. Bieker has more than a decade of experience in the staffing and recruiting industry. She is a member of the ASA staffing as a career taskforce, and president of the Indiana Staffing Association.

Hope Bradford

Bradford is senior director and IT front office application delivery and business relationship solution consultant for Kelly Services Inc. and has more than 16 years of experience in the staffing industry, spanning multifaceted applications and system integrations. Bradford contributes to the development of internally built and purchased, internet-based solutions. Her expertise lies in investigating business requirements and engineering processes, and designing automated technology solutions that complement business operations. She is responsible for negotiating and managing the company's relationship with suppliers, and often serves as an interpreter of business requirements and technology solutions. Bradford is past chairman of the ASA member education and certification committee.

Bonnie Britton

Bonnie Britton is senior vice president of sales at Staff Care, the nation’s leading locum tenens staffing firm and a company of AMN Healthcare. Britton began her career in print marketing and advertising, but as that vertical began its decline, she started following the health care industry. Britton began her tenure at Staff Care with its travel nurse division as a regional director, then as regional vice president within the same division.

Sonya Buckley, CSP

Buckley is a staffing industry professional with over 20 years of experience in the Atlanta market. As chief people officer with Hire Dynamics, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise as a senior executive leading talent acquisitions, training and development, and HR. Buckley has a proven track record for leadership in professional recruitment, branch management, business development, and account management. She specializes in Topgrading hiring methodologies, retention strategies, client and employee development, and creating a "Best Places to Work" culture. Buckley participates on ASA’s staffing as a career taskforce and is a past president of the Georgia Staffing Association.

Ruth Burr-Reedy

Burr-Reedy is the head of search engine optimization (SEO) at BigWing Interactive, a full-service digital marketing agency in Oklahoma City, OK. At BigWing, she leads a team of search engine optimizers driving targeted traffic for clients of all different sizes and industries. Burr Reedy has been working in SEO since 2006 and has worked in house, at marketing agencies, and as an independent consultant. Prior to her move to Oklahoma, she was the head of SEO at Moz. She has spoken about internet marketing at conferences and events all over the U.S. and internationally.

Danny Cahill

Cahill started at Hobson Associates right out of college. He became the company’s rookie of the year, top producer, and general manager by the age of 26. At 27, he bought the company and has since built it into one of the country's largest search firms specializing in software, bio tech, and industrial sales talent. He’s a past educational chairperson of the Pinnacle Society (a consortium of 75 of the highest achievers in the industry) and he still mentors many members. He also owns and runs AccordingToDanny.com, an online training and mentoring company dedicated to enhancing the skills and jumpstarting the spirits of recruiters worldwide.

James Carchidi, CSP

Carchidi, recently named chief executive officer of JFC Staffing Cos., is a second generation owner with 17 years of experience in the industry. He is a recipient of the Central Penn Business Journal Forty Under 40 award for commitment to professional excellence and community, a past vice chairman for the American Staffing Association, a current board member for the Carlisle Employment Skills Center, and simultaneously serves on multiple association committees.

Jim Clifton

Clifton is chairman and chief executive officer of Gallup. Under his leadership, Gallup has expanded from a predominantly U.S.-based company to a worldwide organization with 40 offices in 30 countries and regions. Clifton is the creator of the Gallup Path, a metric-based economic model that establishes the linkages among human nature in the workplace, customer engagement, and business outcomes. This model is used in performance management systems in more than 500 companies worldwide. Clifton also is the author of several best-selling business books, including The Coming Jobs War and Entrepreneurial StrengthsFinder.

Alfred F. De Bellas Jr.

De Bellas has more than 45 years of experience in all phases of investment banking. He founded De Bellas & Co. in 1983—the firm has since advised in about 200 staffing merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions. It is the longest established investment banking firm focused on staffing M&A. Prior to founding De Bellas & Co., De Bellas held investment banking positions at Goldman Sachs & Co., as well as two regional investment banking firms. He has served on the American Stock Exchange member firm advisory committee, as an allied member of the New York Stock Exchange, and as a director of several for-profit and not-for-profit entities.

Kevin Delaski

Delaski is vice president and chief information officer for the TemPositions Group of Cos., one of the nation’s largest regional staffing firms. He has more than 29 years of experience in information technology, with the last 12 years spent in the staffing industry. At TemPositions, Delaski focuses on leveraging the company’s cutting edge technology and emphasizing business process automation to increase overall business efficiency. In 2010, Delaski was awarded the prestigious CIO 100 Award from CIO Magazine. He serves on the ASA education and certification committee and regularly hosts webinars for the association on technology issues pertinent to the staffing industry.

Stephen J. Dubner

Dubner is an award-winning author, journalist, and radio and TV personality. He is best known as co-author, with Steven Levitt, of the books Freakonomics, SuperFreakonomics, and Think Like a Freak. More than seven million copies of these books have sold in more than 40 countries. Dubner also is the host of the Freakonomics Radio podcast, which gets five million downloads each month. To mark the 10th anniversary of Freakonomics, Dubner and Levitt are publishing a new book this year: When to Rob a Bank: And 131 More Warped Suggestions and Well-Intended Rants.

Tom Erb, CSP

With a career spanning nearly 20 years, Erb has established himself as one of the staffing and recruiting industry’s top subject matter experts. As a consultant, trainer, and speaker to the staffing and recruiting industry, Erb has helped hundreds of firms create and execute sales and recruiting strategies to grow their business and help optimize their workforce strategy. He entered the staffing industry as a recruiter with Olsten Staffing Services, where he quickly rose through the ranks to the position of area director. James A. Essey, CSP

Essey is president and chief executive officer of the TemPositions Group of Cos., which is celebrating its 50th year in the industry. In addition to office support personnel, the company provides staffing in information technology, accounting, human resources, legal, hospitality, light assembly, education, and health care. Essey served five terms as president of the New York Staffing Association, an ASA-affiliated chapter. He was ASA chairman in 2004; has chaired the chapter relations, member education and certification, political action, and industry best practices committees; and is currently chairman of the legal and legislative committee.

Chris Franklin

Franklin is executive vice president, LocumTenens.com. He joined the company in 2008 as vice president of the surgery division. During his seven-year tenure with the organization, Franklin shifted into an executive vice president role and expanded his area of responsibility to include strategic planning and business operations, as well as oversight of several sales and support divisions including technology, government, marketing, accounting, surgery, and national accounts. Eric A. Gregg

Gregg is chief executive officer of Inavero, a leading provider of client and employee surveys for the staffing industry and an ASA satisfaction survey partner. As ASA research partner, Inavero conducts the association's annual membership survey, ASA Sector Benchmarking Survey, quarterly ASA Staffing Employment and Sales Survey, and weekly Staffing Index survey, and co-produces its quarterly State of the Industry webinar series. The creator of the Best of Staffing list, Gregg is an expert on client retention in the staffing industry. He has spoken at many industry events and published numerous articles on the subject.

Abigail Haskell

Haskell is a business intelligence analyst for Elwood Staffing Services, a provider of light-industrial and professional staffing with over 200 service locations. Haskell provides descriptive and predictive analysis, visualizations and presentations, specific recommendations, and metrics for ongoing reporting. She has been with Elwood for 12 years.

Alicia Hitchcock, CSP

Hitchcock is director of safety and risk at Elwood Staffing Services Inc. and has been in this role for 18 years. She has over 30 years of risk, safety, and human resources experience, including creation and implementation of workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs, management of modified duty programs, and safety walk-throughs with clients. Hitchcock is well-versed in loss reviews and health insurance purchase and implementation. She earned her OSHA 30-hour card through the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s outreach training program.

Jenna Hladik, CSP

Deb Keller-Wise, CSP

As regional vice president of Elwood Staffing, Keller-Wise leads teams in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, Missouri, and Kansas. Edward A. Lenz, Esq.

Senior counsel for the American Staffing Association, Lenz is the staffing industry’s chief legal and legislative advocate and one of the nation’s leading authorities on the legal and public policy aspects of staffing. He joined ASA in 1989 as its first general counsel and has served the association in various leadership positions, most recently as senior vice president for legal and public affairs. As senior counsel, Lenz advises the association on a broad range of regulatory and policy issues, including the Affordable Care Act. Before joining ASA, he was vice president and assistant general counsel for Kelly Services and served as chairman of the ASA legal and legislative committee. Prior to entering the staffing industry in 1982, he served in government and in private law practice in Washington, DC. Jason Leverant, PHR, CSP

Leverant is chief operating officer of @Work Group, a Knoxville, TN-based franchisor of staffing services. He is responsible for the management, growth, and administration of the @Work brands throughout the country. Leverant is an active volunteer with ASA; worked with ASA to create the ASA Affordable Care Act Cost Calculator for Staffing; just rejuvenated the Tennessee Staffing Association, an ASA-affiliated chapter; and is also a board member for Jobs for Tennessee Graduates.

Kristin Lewis

As director of product management for Equifax Workforce Solutions, Lewis drives strategic solutions that help companies optimize workforce productivity and improve business outcomes. Lewis leads the Affordable Care Act Management Platform, a solution that was awarded Top HR Product of the Year by Human Resource Executive magazine in 2013. She has gained national recognition for her thought leadership around ACA shared responsibility rules and provisions, and is a regularly featured speaker and panelist on ACA compliance for conferences, associations, and industry events across the country. Toby Malara, Esq.

Malara is government affairs counsel for the American Staffing Association. James Nicholas, Esq.

Nicholas is an attorney with Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky, and Popeo PC, and is chair of the firm’s Wage & Hour Class Action Practice Group. He represents and counsels employers on a wide range of federal and state employment issues, including wage and hour, employee classification, discrimination and harassment, leaves of absence, wrongful termination, and the enforcement of noncompetition and nondisclosure agreements. Sharon Pancamo, CSHO

Pancamo is an experienced loss prevention and safety professional. Jeannine Parise

Parise is senior executive and management consultant for VMS Accelerators. Through VMSA, she provides sales and operational consulting to staffing firms looking to optimize delivery through vendor management system (VMS) and managed service provider (MSP) programs. VMSA produces global executive workshops and seminars focused on increasing productivity and profitability through VMS and MSP programs. Prior to joining VMSA in 2009, Parise was the founder and sole owner of Foundation Systems, a national technical and professional staffing firm with a wholly-owned recruitment center in Bangalore, India. Loretta A. Penn

Penn is the founder and president of PECC LLC, an executive coaching and consulting company. She works with senior executives, business owners, entrepreneurs, and individuals to create greater alignment between business goals, vision, and profitability. Her practice focuses on working with professionals who are committed to developing innovative, creative, and sustainable solutions in the areas of workforce management, talent acquisition, and retention in a diverse global environment. Penn brings over 25 years of leadership experience at the executive level. Previously, she held the positions of president, chief service excellence officer, and president of the legal staffing division at Spherion Staffing Services, a one billion dollar division of SFN Group. Dave Phillips

Cynthia Poole

As director of research for the American Staffing Association, Poole oversees the association’s research and data initiatives, including the weekly ASA Staffing Index, quarterly ASA Staffing Employment and Sales Survey, ASA Skills Gap Index, and ASA Workforce Monitor™. She is a primary author of the annual economic analysis of the staffing industry, the association’s most widely referenced publication. Poole has a master’s in business administration and more than 20 years of experience in strategic research and analysis, project management, and financial management in various industries including fast food, newspaper, cable television, electric utilities, government, and staffing.

Aisha Quaintance

Quaintance is the founder and chief executive officer of Fillmore Search Group, a highly profitable, multi-specialty search firm in San Francisco, as well as a key executive in other companies. She holds several board positions where she consults and assists with driving marketing efforts, operational changes, and behavioral changes toward high business results. A startup and recruiting industry expert, Quaintance has the unique ability to drive multiple lines of revenue while executing necessary operational changes to turn branches, divisions, or companies into highly profitable entities. Dane Reese, CSP

John Ruffini

Ruffini works for Randstad Professionals as its national director for direct hire placement, training, and development. During his tenure, Sacco has provided in-depth knowledge of the staffing industry and historical understanding of its development to numerous trade publications and news media. He works with temporary commercial, information technology, and health care staffing firms, as well as with permanent placement firms, to help them maximize their value in the merger and acquisition process. Thomas Sarach Jr.

Sarach is president of Reliance Staffing Services and has been with the company for over 20 years. In 1989, he started work as a placement specialist with Reliance Staffing. In 1995, he founded Complete Office and Automation for Temporary Staffing software after first successfully designing it to manage Reliance’s daily operations. COATS is now marketed and sold nationwide.

Elizabeth Schillo

Schillo serves as senior vice president for Dice and Clearance Jobs, leading all North American sales channels. She oversees account management, new business sales, customer-centric sales communication, sales training, new product sales, and strategic partnerships for business development to generate annual results of over $130 million. Prior to Dice, she held sales leadership roles with CareerBuilder, Ann Taylor, and McKesson Information Systems. Over the past 13 years, Schillo has demonstrated her ability to lead multi-channel sales teams and drive results. David Searns

Searns is chief executive officer of Haley Marketing, a content marketing and web design firm that works with more than 800 staffing and search firms throughout the U.S. and Canada. For the past 19 years, Searns and his team have helped staffing firms to stand out from the competition, get past HR, sell higher-margin staffing solutions, improve sales productivity, and nurture relationships with clients and candidates. Haley Marketing offers website design, blogging and social media, email marketing, direct mail, and all the strategic and creative support a staffing firm needs to stand out, stay top-of-mind, and sell more. Prior to forming Haley Marketing, Searns was director of marketing for a New York temporary staffing and direct placement service. He holds a master of business administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor's in management information systems from Clarkson University.

David Seifert

As director of product strategy for Equifax Workforce Solutions, Seifert is responsible for ensuring that the vision and roadmap of the Equifax ACA Management Solution is in line with the needs of organizations adhering to the employer mandate under the Affordable Care Act. He has been an integral contributor in onboarding the Equifax Workforce Solutions ACA client base, which includes more than 285 employers, representing more than eight million employees. Seifert also hosts ongoing thought leadership sessions on topics related to ACA compliance. Prior to joining Equifax Workforce Solutions, Seifert was a strategic account executive at Blackbaud Inc., a leading provider of software for nonprofit organizations.

Brad Smith

Smith is the director of search engine optimization and social media at Haley Marketing, the nation’s largest marketing firm dedicated to servicing the staffing and recruiting industry. Smith has 13 years of experience in the staffing and recruiting industry helping organizations develop and implement strategic marketing plans. As a certified inbound marketing specialist, Smith has helped over 300 staffing and recruiting companies with website development, search engine optimization, online reputation management, blogging, and social media marketing. A frequent contributor to Haley Marketing’s educational webinar series for the staffing industry, Smith has presented for several staffing industry groups and associations and has been quoted in industry publications.

Jimmy Taylor

Taylor is a 25 year veteran of the staffing industry. He spent the early days of his career learning the business as a full life cycle agency recruiter. For the last 20 years he has been a staffing business owner, including successfully navigating the sale of his company to a Fortune 500 firm. He is a frequent speaker for staffing, human resource, and small business/entrepreneur events. As a senior consultant with vNacelle, he works with $100 million companies to help them develop themselves and their entrepreneurial management teams.

John Thomas, CSP, CSC

Thomas is a staffing industry leader with more than 30 years of experience. Currently, he is a field consultant with Express Employment Professionals in their Specialist Recruiting Group. His responsibilities include the successful development and expansion of professional staffing within more than 700 franchised locations. Thomas is also an experienced trainer and speaker, having conducted over 200 keynote presentations, workshops, and training seminars on leadership, management development, recruiting, behavioral-based interviewing, hiring plans, sales, customer service, strategic planning, and more. He serves as president of the Missouri & Kansas Search and Staffing Association and is chairman of the ASA chapter leadership committee.

Maya Toussaint

Toussaint is a bilingual Montreal, Canada, native with eight years of recruitment experience. She started her professional career in a recruitment firm, then worked as a corporate senior recruiter in the engineering, marketing, and video game industries. Finally, she led the recruitment strategy for a small technology company (Radialpoint) as its talent acquisition manager before moving to Toronto. Her most recent role of two years has been with LinkedIn in Toronto as a customer success consultant, where she works with companies to help their HR and recruitment teams use LinkedIn to connect talent with opportunity.

Rebecca Vertucci

As senior customer success consultant for LinkedIn, Vertucci is responsible for the customer success team’s ability to be LinkedIn and recruiting experts, and assist corporate customers in being best-in-class when it comes to attracting and recruiting talent. Vertucci travels across the country training and coaching HR teams, while also speaking at recruiting conferences, professional networking events, universities, and colleges. Whether she is helping career services teams, recent grads, professional members, or corporate customers, her responsibility (and passion) is to ensure the success of LinkedIn members. She believes that relationships are the currency of life, and that every person’s success relies on his or her ability to always be networking and growing relationships.

Kevin Walker

As director of employer insights at Indeed.com, Walker works directly with employers to deliver actionable insights through recruitment data analysis, best practice sharing, and industry trend exploration. Prior to joining Indeed, Walker spent time in the hospitality and technology industries. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and a master of business administration degree from Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.

Jack Wellman

Wellman is president of Wellman Insights LLC. Prior to establishing Wellman Insights, he served as a c-level executive of both private and public staffing firms for over 25 years, applying professional, strategic management techniques and processes to entrepreneurial organizations. At Oxford Global Resources and more recently Joulé Inc., his leadership resulted in significant organic and acquisitive business growth with annual revenues increasing to more than $125 million. His success at Joulé Inc. culminated in its sale in late 2013. Wellman is past president of the New Jersey Staffing Alliance and has been a long-time volunteer with ASA.
