TESOL and First Book Team Up to Provide Books to Philadelphia Kids
TESOL International Association and First Book are joining forces to put more high-quality books into the hands of the children in need throughout the United States and Canada.
Through this partnership, TESOL and First Book will work together to connect thousands of educators to new books for the students they serve.
In addition, during the upcoming TESOL International Convention & English Language Expo in Philadelphia, attendees and exhibitors will have the opportunity to donate to help bring up to 4,000 new, high-quality books to children in need throughout Philadelphia.

Donate to Help Reach TESOL's Goal
Help TESOL give back to the city of Philadelphia by making a donation to TESOL's virtual book drive with First Book. Our goal is $10,000 which will provide 4,000 new books to children in the Philadelphia area. A donation of just $2.50 gets one book into the hands of a deserving child. Donations are welcome from every one even if you are not attending the convention.
About First Book
Early in her career as a corporate lawyer, Kyle Zimmer volunteered to work with children at a shelter in Washington, DC. Shocked by the children’s limited resources and lack of books, she quit her day job and founded First Book - the nonprofit organization that provides new books for kids in need.
To date, First Book has distributed more than 90 million books and educational resources to programs and schools serving children from low-income families throughout the United States and Canada. First Book is transforming the lives of children in need and elevating the quality of education by making new, high-quality books available on an ongoing basis.
