Rooms at per diem are specifically for individuals on active duty or currently in civil service. SAME is only able to block a limited number of rooms at per diem, and we must ensure these rooms are occupied by those attending JETC to represent the government.  Contractors and retirees are not eligible for these rooms. We have heard loud and clear that we need to make sure we have government representatives at our conferences; if they can’t get a room at per diem, then their attendance is in jeopardy.  Therefore, we do regular audits of the room block and will change the room rate for those who are ineligible for the per diem rate to the industry rate.  We thank you for your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you need assistance with your room reservation please contact Marc Bronitt at marc@connectionshousing.com.

Travel

Centrally located between the two coasts, Houston features three airports servicing more than two dozen airlines and offering nonstop service to 152 cities around the world. With hundreds of flights per day, getting here is easy. And once you're here, getting around town is even easier, even though Houston is the nation's fourth largest city.

Travel to Houston, Texas is convenient. The city is a major hub accessible by the George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) or William P. Hobby Airport (HOU). Distance and travel time from both airports to all JETC Hotels is about 20-30 minutes. The cost is about $35-$45 for a taxi or $25/each way for a shuttle.

SuperShuttle is offering a discount on shuttle service between either airport and JETC hotels.  Book online with code BJK6P for a discount of $2 on one-way or $4 on round-trip shared van rides, or a discount of $5 on one-way or $10 on round-trip private luxury vehicle rides.
