NCO & Young Member Stipend Information

JETC Stipends for NCOs and Young Members

SAME is offering to qualified NCOs and Young Members (military and civilian under the age of 36) a stipend of up to $1,200 as reimbursement for expenses to attend the 2011 Joint Engineer Training Conference and Expo (JETC) in Grapevine, Texas, May 24-27, 2011. Once approved, SAME HQ will issue an advance of $500 to the individuals, with the remainder of the stipend to be paid following attendance at the JETC and submittal of an expense report with receipts for any expense over $25.

The NCO Council will review and approve NCO nominations/applications and the Young Member Council will review and approve Young Member nominations/applications. Applications must be submitted to SAME HQ no later than April 4, 2011.

Eligibility Criteria
1.     NCO (Active, Guard or Reserve) in the grade of E-5 to E-9, Warrant Officer or Young Member (Civilian or Military) under the age of 36.
2.     At least one year of membership in SAME with a Join Date prior to April 4, 2010.
3.     Active member of a SAME Post at the time of nomination.
