2013 Space Selection Information

Space selection for the 2013 SWEETS & SNACKS EXPO will take place at this year's show.  Below you will find all the details needed to plan for your future participation.  Your specific appointment time will be emailed to you before the end of March.
 
Special Note: Exciting changes coming for 2013! To help keep the SWEETS & SNACKS EXPO fresh and new, the layout of the floor plan has been redeveloped. Please see the new 2013 plan at the bottom of this page, and review prior to your appointment time.


Your current booth will not automatically be reserved for you - you must choose your space during your appointment time.

Priority Points:

Assignments are made in priority point order and exhibitors are allotted a specific time to choose their location.  These time slots are determined by priority points which are earned for show participation (1), NCA membership (five points each year of membership) and sponsorship involvement (sliding scale based on area sponsored).  Snack companies not eligible for NCA membership receive 2 points and sponsorship points.

The floor plan design is guided by a set of principles to ensure that space is designed in a manner fair and equitable to all, and to ensure the feasibility of the lay out.  These principals are located at the bottom of the page.

How the Process Works:

At the Booth Space Selection Office you will be checked in, and when your priority point number is reached you may choose a booth from those available.  When you make your choice, your contract will be completed, the booth assigned and the deposit recorded. In order to assign all exhibitors, you will have a few minutes to choose your location, so please determine your space needs in advance.  You will not need to complete paperwork; your space contract will be automatically generated when you choose space online, and you will receive a paper copy and an email.  You must agree to the Display Regulations and Terms of Application before choosing space; both of these documents are linked below.

General Details for the 2013 EXPO:

-  Show Dates: May 21, 22, 23, a Tuesday - Thursday schedule
-  Location: McCormick Place West Building, Chicago, Illinois, USA
-  A 50% deposit is due at time of reservation – credit card or  checks accepted

Advance space rates for 2013 are below, and remain unchanged from 2012; all rates are per square foot:

Space Selection Appointments:

If you cannot make your appointment time, please stop by the Booth Space Selection Office anytime after your appointment to choose a booth (following those waiting to complete their selections).   A 50% payment must be made at the time of assignment; credit cards will be processed on-site.

-  The Space Selection Office is located on the show floor at the front of the 500 aisle
-  You will not automatically be assigned a booth if you miss your appointment time
-  Booths cannot be placed on hold
-  If you choose not to reserve space, you may pick from available locations post-show on a first-come, first-served basis.  Your current space will not be automatically reserved for you

Booth Selection - Floor Plan:

The 2013 floor plan is currently being developed and will be available on this site when completed.  Please note that the floor plan will change from 2012, so be sure to review it prior to your appointment time. As booth reservations take place daily, the plan will change and update as reservations are completed.

If you cannot make your appointment but still wish to reserve space, please stop by the Booth Space Selection Office anytime after your appointment to choose a booth from those available (following those already waiting to choose a location).  Your current space will not be automatically reserved for you.
