CEF Silent Auction
Send in your donations today! The Georgia Aquarium and Zoo Atlanta are thrilled to be co-hosting the 2011 Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) Annual Conference and supporting the AZA Conservation Endowment Fund (CEF) Silent Auction. The Conservation Endowment Fund, established in 1984, supports the cooperative conservation-related scientific and educational initiatives of AZA and AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums and their collaborators. The CEF has provided over $5 million to nearly 300 projects worldwide since its inception, including the re-introduction of Siamese crocodiles to the wild and studies of the ecological interactions between wild and domestic ungulates in arid ecosystems. Because of the generous donations of items and services from the AZA membership, we were able to raise more than $25,000 for the CEF at last year’s Annual Conference in Houston. Please help us to continue to support the Conservation Endowment Fund by donating a unique or specialty auction item highlighting your institution, programs, or partners you support for the 2011 AZA Annual Conference in Atlanta. Your donation will have a direct impact on the important work done by our colleagues. Complete the auction donation form and send back with your item. Please send your donation early! Should you have any questions about the auction, please contact Morena Lamothe at mlamothe@zooatlanta.org (404-624-5894) or Kristie Cobb Hacke at kcobb@georgiaaquarium.org (404-581-4130). Thank you for your support of this very worthwhile program.
